Brute Force, Misty’s Big Adventure. Liverpool Magnet. 26apr04.
The Misty's Big Adventure experience is like walking through a fun fair; colour and whirling movements surround you and a multitude of sounds fill you up with excitement. Grandmaster Gareth's unexpectedly luxurious voice pours from the stage as a hand-covered monster dances in perfect rhythm to awkwardly melodic, perfectly orchestrated songs, where anything from the opening of a can to a skeaky toy is used as an instrument. They might look like the school band who decided to keep going long after their GCSEs were done and dusted, but they are truly talented musicians who will surely soon be widely recognized as such. Go and see them - they cannot fail to make you smile for days! After the Misty’s played a short set, there were more shining surprises in store in the shape of Brute Force - a singer from the late 60s who was signed to Apple, thus making this a fitting return to Liverpool. Looking like the leader of a prohibition bootlegging outfit, his gruff, charming tones sing of how the "tapeworm of love is eating [his] heart out over you" and other such heart-warming and hilarious songs. The Misty’s provide a perfect backing, making the whole night even more happily confusing and utterly enjoyable. Jenny Gilroy.

During the recent UK tour, fan AD Standring asked Brute to write a song for Prem the Horse for her 30th birthday,
at the Standring Farm in Goole Fields, Yorkshire, UK.
Together with Misty's Big Adventure, and Daughter of Force
Brute sang the song. It was a smashing success.
As tribute to this equine, melodic, festive event, a foal just born at the farm has been named, Special Bru...after you know who. Well, this one takes the cake...or oats! See PHOTOS for pic of Special Bru.

TOUR AND REVOLA REISSUE
There is now an excellent reissue of Brute Force on Revola Records in the United Kingdom & Europe, Title, Extemporaneous. Index #, CR REV 36., www.revola.co.uk. Contains the album Extemporaneous plus Nobody Knows (What's Goin' On In My Mind But Me), flip Side of King of Fuh, as well as KOF plus bonus tracks, Vicky and The World... Contains great liner notes, by Steve Stanley, which include the BF mini-autobiography.

Now the "New King For England" Tour was a smashing, brilliant success! Brute, Daughter of Force, Grandmaster Gareth leader of Misty's Big Adventure. 9 piece band have just completed this first UK tour, the very eclectic set featuring the Coronation of The King of Fuh. The set contained songs from "Confections of Love", plus other BF songs, including Adam and Evening and Fire In The Fireplace.

One highlight of the tour was partying with a fan and family at their farm in Yorkshire. Brute was asked to write a song for a horse on the farm. So after the first few beers and sandwiches, we all sang to the horse for its 30th
birthday.

If all goes well the video will be available. As will the video of the tour itself with footage from: Arts Cafe, Shoreditch, London. Magnet, Liverpool April Bar Academy, Birmingham. April Rescue Rooms, Nottingham. April Rouge, London. The Cellar, Oxford.

Brute Force Rocks. So much of the success is because of one outstanding individual, Grandmaster Gareth. He would lead his band for a half hour set and then, Tom, the tall gent in a costume festooned with blue hands, would introduce "An ikon of the modern era.."

Another highlight was being invited to perform with Misty's at the Truck Festival, in UK, late July.

An interview with Andy Davis, "The Beatles Files", had Brute being photographed as King of Fuh, wearing the crown in front of Buckingham Palace, all for inclusion in a new book about Apple. Also an interview with Wim Van Cleef will be featured in a Dutch record magazine.

Many new friends and fans joined Brute's Force on this 1st UK tour!

The Forces, Brute Force and Lilah, Daughter of Force appeared at Eat Records, in Brooklyn.

It was the second on stage appearance for the father/daughter team.
Some songs we did ... Sandwich... Red Ray Gun. No Olympian Height,
We're working on the set and it's fun to perform together.

FROM BRUTE'S FORCE WORLDWIDE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Animal psychic contacts Buddy, dead Clinton dog. New York City Animal psychic who goes by the name "K-9" claims to have contacted Buddy, the Clinton's dead dog. At a seance, last Sunday, held at a loft in Soho, which was attended by Hollywood adherents of the Star Cult, and NYC governmental glitterati, K-9 says he contacted Buddy after a few difficult moments. "Breaking thru into the Kingdom of Animal Spirits was made a bit difficult by the Star Cultists who couldn't be quiet talking about themselves, but when they were told to shut up and concentrate, the Spirit of Buddy came into me." K-9 said that the feeling was like lying under a porch in Chappaqua in the pouring rain, very damp, and musty. "Buddy was very disturbed that H-Babe, as he called Hillary, wrote in her book that he, Buddy, was the only family member who wanted to be with Bill after he told Hill he lied about Monica. Buddy wanted the world to know that there's another side to the story, that Buddy really didn't want to be with Mr. Bill, as he called him, hated the smell of Mr. Bill's cigars, and that the ex-pres kept tempting him with barbequed ribs, saying,'Come to Papa Buddy, Come to Papa, Buddy Boy,' over and over. He was kind of weepy too." K-9 said that he slumped into a catatonic state for five minutes at the moment when the Spirit of Buddy started licking the former pres on his palm, staining K-9's khaki trousers, and that this brought an abrupt end to the seance.
